Traditional Cement Rendering or Solid Plastering involves the application of a sand/lime/cement mix over brick or blockwork.
Traditional Cement Rendering
It is generally screeded flat, then floated and sponged prior to curing and either painted, or overcoated with an Acrylic render topcoat.
Such renders have the ability to build reasonably thick single applications, making it a huge advantage when walls are not straight and out of plumb.
The lime additive makes the render more durable, whilst also being a plasticiser and natural waterproofer.
